A 63-year-old Rome man was arrested Tuesday afternoon at his Bells Ferry Road residence on a felony aggravated assault charge.
According to Floyd County Jail records:
Olin Jackie Dotson Jr. pulled out a handgun during an argument and shot it into the ground before pointing it at the victim.
When police arrived at the scene a witness was able to confirm to police what happened during the altercation.
Man charged with assault and battery
A Rome man was jailed early Wednesday on charges of aggravated assault and battery.
According to Floyd County Jail Records:
Keith Allen Maldonado, 43, placed a victim in a chokehold for one minute, causing the victim to be unable to breathe.
Maldonado also caused physical injuries to the victim, according to the report.
