The Rome-Floyd County Joint Services Committee is expected to discuss SPLOST proposals and operating expenses for those projects when it meets Tuesday.

A citizens committee is in the process of hearing proposals for projects submitted by local governments and the public and will narrow down the list that will go to voters in November.

Other agenda items for the joint services committee meeting include a discussion of the service delivery strategy for Rome-Floyd Parks and Recreation, an update on the relocation of the Rome City Police Department, and an update on the streetscape project in the River District.

Tuesday’s meeting begins at 9 a.m. in the caucus room on the second floor of the Floyd County Administration Building on East Fourth Avenue.
