Seven injured, two seriously, in Cartersville crash

Seven people were injured in a three-vehicle wreck late last week in Cartersville,

According to Cartersville Police:

A Ford F250 Subercab turned in front of a GMC Yukon on State Route 113 at Riverside Drive.

The resulting impact caused the Yukon to hit a Volkswagen Jetta which was stopped at the stop sign, waiting to turn.

Two passengers in the Yukon were not wearing seatbelts and were ejected.

The 18-year-old was taken by helicopter to Kennestone Hospital while the 24-year-old was taken to Atrium Health Floyd Medical Center.

Both sustained head injuries.

Metro EMS also took the driver and two other occupants from the Yukon to hospitals for treatment of minor injuries.

The 22-year-old driver of the F250 was taken to Floyd Medical Center for hip pain.

The driver of the Jetta complained of neck pain but did not go to a hospital.
