-Floyd County Jail records-

A traffic stop on Shorter Avenue at South Sycamore Street ended with the arrest of a Rome man on drug charges.

According to Floyd County Jail records:

An officer stopped a vehicle driven by 60-year-old Milford Dillard Morrison for failure to maintain a lane.

Due to the odor of marijuana, the vehicle was searched and the officer found a glass jar containing suspected marijuana and suspected cocaine.

Morrison is charged with possession of both cocaine and marijuana.

He is also charged with distracted driving, DUI, driving with a suspended or revoked license, failure to maintain a lane, open container, and possession of a fraudulent license or identification card.
