Law enforcement in Floyd County arrested a Bartow County man recently in connection with a vehicle theft that happened at Wal-Mart in Trion three-and-a-half years ago.
Floyd County Police say that they used DNA evidence to connect forty-seven-year-old Charles Allen Brock of Cartersville to the theft of a 1997 Jeep Wrangler. The Jeep was found at a location on Firetower Road in Floyd County in November of 2015 after the theft was reported in Trion.
Police say that a radio was removed from the Jeep and that there were traces of blood around the area where the radio was located inside the Jeep. Detectives used DNA evidence from the blood to link Brock with the crime.
Brock was booked into the Floyd County Jail last week in connection with the theft.
