Man wanted for attempted murder in Alabama in custody

A man being sought by Cherokee County, Alabama authorities on attempted murder charges is now in custody.

54-year old Michael Gilreath was taken into custody Thursday evening on County Road 16 in Cherokee County.

Deputies responded to a residence on County Road 22 in the Kirk’s Grove Community Monday night just prior to 10:00 p.m. and upon their arrival they found a man suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.

The victim is currently listed in stable condition.

Two other suspects, 29-year old Anthony Matthew Gilreath of Centre and 47-year old Stephen Eric Parker of Lindale were arrested Tuesday.
