On Monday, Rome and Floyd County residents will gather at the Coosa Valley Fairground to honor those who made the ultimate sacrifice for freedom.

The Exchange Club of Rome is hosting the service starting at 10 a.m. Monday.

The ceremony will feature the Rome Fire Department Honor Guard, the American Legion Post 5 Honor Guard, and the guest speaker, retired Brigadier General Shawn Harris.

The club’s replica of the Tomb of the Unknown will also be on display at the event.
