The Floyd County Board of Elections & Registration will certify the results of the May 21 election during a called meeting Tuesday.

The meeting will begin at 4:15 p.m. at the Floyd County Election Center, located at 18 East 12th Street.

The caucus starts at 4 p.m.

In the two contested Floyd County races, Sheriff Dave Roberson won re-election while Mary Hardin Thornton was elected the new Clerk of Floyd County Superior Court.

For State Senate in District 53, which includes a small portion of Northern Floyd County, incumbent Colton Moore defeated Angela Pence.

And in the Democratic Primary for Congress, Shawn Harris and Clarence Blalock are going to a runoff on June 18.

The winner faces incumbent Republican Marjorie Taylor Green in November.
