Two arrested following crash
A 28-year-old Lindale woman is facing a felony count of aiding or permitting another to escape law enforcement following her arrest Saturday.
According to Floyd County Jail records:
Mikayla Danielle Davis gave police a false name of her boyfriend knowing that he had committed various offenses.
The boyfriend, 28-year-old Kyle Blake Roberts, also of Lindale, had failed to yield to oncoming traffic causing a crash at Turner McCall Boulevard and Riverside Parkway.
Roberts is charged with hit and run, giving a false name or date of birth, driving without a license in his possession, and vehicle entering the roadway.
He was also wanted for a probation violation.
Two charged with drug possession
A Silver Creek Man and an Acworth woman were arrested during a traffic stop on North Broad Street Sunday.
According to Floyd County Jail records:
26-year-old Jesse Shane Brock was driving with a faulty tail light and an expired license.
Police then located suspected methamphetamine, prescription amphetamines, and a THC vape.
Brock is charged with possession of Schedule I and II controlled substances, possession of meth, DUI, open container, improper tail light, and driving with an expired license.
A passenger in the vehicle, 26-year-old Hailey Cason Keeton, is charged with possession of methamphetamine.
Man facing animal cruelty charge
A homeless man has been arrested on a felony warrant charging him with aggravated cruelty to animals.
According to the warrant:
36-year-old Chris Hubert Parker failed to provide adequate nutrition and medical care for his Rottweiler, causing the dog to be severely emaciated.
The dog also suffered from ear infections, broken teeth, and an infection in both eyes on May 20 at Harbin Alley in Rome.
Man arrested for meth possession
A Rome man was arrested Friday on a felony possession of methamphetamine charge.
According to Floyd County Jail records:
43-year-old Kenneth Roland Edwards was found with suspected meth at his residence on Covered Springs Road.
Woman facing meth possession, DUI charges
A Rome woman was arrested on drug charges following a traffic stop on Alabama Highway Saturday.
According to Floyd County Jail records:
51-year-old Dena Ann Barton was stopped for DUI and was then found with suspected methamphetamine.
