Calhoun man arrested during traffic stop

A Calhoun man is facing charges following a traffic stop on Martha Berry Boulevard at McDonald Street in Rome Tuesday.

According to Floyd County jail records:

27-year-old Ishmael Nicholas Guevara was holding his cell phone while driving and a 2-year-old child in the vehicle was not properly retrained.

Guevara was also found with two vape pens.

He is charged with possession of a Schedule I controlled substance, distracted driving, and a child restraint violation.

Lindale man charged with meth possession

A Lindale man is facing drug charges following his arrest early Wednesday.

According to Floyd County Jail records:

37-year-old Timothy Lavon Grace Jr. was sitting on a bench on Park Avenue.

Two bags of suspected methamphetamine and a glass pipe were located under the bench.

Grace is charged with possession of meth, possession of drug-related objects, contempt of superior court, and a probation violation.
