Runoff elections Tuesday

Voters will head back to the polls Tuesday to decide a few races that went to runoffs during the May 21 Primary Elections.

In Floyd County, Democrats are deciding a contest for the U.S. House of Representatives in District 14 between Clarence Blalock and Shawn Harris.

The winner will face incumbent Republican Marjorie Taylor Greene in the November General Election.

In Polk County, two county commission posts are headed to a runoff.

Incumbent Jordan Hubbard and Michael Gravett will face off again in District 1, while John Pachal and Ray “Slugger” Carter are in a runoff in District 3.

In Chattooga County, there will be a runoff for coroner between Savanna McGill and Jeremy “Big Mac” McElhaney.

The polls are open Tuesday from 7 a.m. until 7 p.m.
