Lindale will celebrate America’s Birthday this weekend with a parade, festival, and car show.
The Lindale Independence Day Celebration is on Saturday from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m.
The festival on South First Street will feature food, arts and crafts, and much more.
We’re also going to have a live band there,” said Tim Reynolds with Restoration Lindale. “The BBs are going to be there performing. They are a local group. Both of them are graduates of Pepperell High School—Barry Gable and Brenda Roberson. They do a full line from rock ‘n’ roll to southern gospel and everything in between. We’re excited to have them be a part of our festival this year.”
The car show will be at Lindale Park and will feature classic cars, trucks, motorcycles, and tractors.
“Our car show is a $20 donation if you want to be judged and we will have door prizes and plaques,” Reynolds said. “The car show helps benefit our Christmas program. Every year at Christmas, we do the toy drive at our parade, and so with that, we’re able to donate those to the primary into elementary school in Lindale for kids who are less fortunate at Christmas.”
The parade will start at 10 a.m.
It is free and open for anyone to join.
Participants will line up at Pepperell Primary School, beginning at 9:30.
Those who want to be in the parade are asked to decorate their entries in an American theme.
