Floyd County Jail Records –

  • A 56-year-old Rome woman was arrested for assault on Monday. According to Floyd County Jail records Linda Lee Thomas allegedly threatened to kill a victim after hitting them multiple times and shoving them at her residence on Nan Lee Drive. The Floyd County Police Department arrested Thomas for felony terroristic threats and acts and simple assault family violence.

  • On Monday Floyd County Police arrested a 41-year-old Rome man on two counts of felony obstruction. According to Floyd County Jail records, Michael Anthony Vitello was being taken into custody at his Rosemont Drive home when he resisted arrest. Vitello allegedly struck one of the officers in the left side of the face and threatened further violence against both officers. Vitello was booked into the Floyd County Jail and faces an additional charge of simple battery against a police officer.

  • A 19-year-old Rome man was arrested on Monday on charges related to DUI. According to Floyd County Jail records, Luis Armando Rivers-Ambris was taken into custody by Rome Police after being pulled over near Government Plaza. Police discovered that Rivers-Ambris was in possession of liquid syrup cannabis and was operating a vehicle under the influence of drugs. Jail reports also indicated that Rivers-Ambris was in violation of a class permit license and was playing music too loudly from his vehicle. Rivers-Ambris was booked into the Floyd County Jail and charged with felony possession of a Schedule 1 substance, DUI, violation of a CP license, and a loud music violation.
