Floyd County Jail records –

  • A 25-year-old man was arrested after allegedly entering the jail with meth to sell it in the facility. According to Floyd County Jail records, Michael Wesley Griffin is being charged with felony possession of methamphetamine, possession of meth with intent to distribute, and crossing the guard line at the jail with drugs. Griffin is also charged with conspiring with 25-year-old Emmileigh Griffin to distribute synthetic marijuana. Additionally, Griffin had pleaded guilty to a terroristic threats charge in court on Tuesday.

  • A 35-year-old Rome man was arrested for causing around $1,000 in damage to a property on the 200 block of Elliott Drive on Tuesday. According to Floyd County Jail records, Martin Nunez Valles was charged with felony criminal damage to property in the second degree under the Family Violence Act.

  • A 27-year-old Rome man picked up an additional felony charge after threatening a deputy at the courthouse on Tuesday, while already facing charges for fighting with deputies at the jail. According to Floyd County Jail records, Branton Kaden Hughes was charged with felony terroristic threats and acts, along with misdemeanor disorderly conduct and obstruction of an officer. Hughes was in Floyd County Superior Court for a scheduled hearing when he got into an argument with his attorney. He was loud and boisterous before pulling away from deputies as they were arresting him. Once arrested, Hughes is accused of telling the sheriff’s deputy that he would kill him. Hughes remained in jail without bond as of Thursday.
