The Georgia Department of Transportation is reminding the public of a traffic pattern change that will begin Tuesday, weather permitting, as part of the Second Avenue improvement project.

The right northbound lane on Second Avenue will be closed from West Third Street to just before the freight receiving entrance of Floyd Medical Center.

Along with that closure, a temporary traffic signal will be installed at the intersection of Second Avenue, Martha Berry Boulevard and Turner McCall Boulevard.

The Second Avenue improvement project is slated to be completed in the fall of 2026.
