“Most Wanted” suspect in custody
A man just added to the Floyd County Sheriff’s Office’s “Most Wanted” list is already in custody.
According to an arrest warrant:
42-year-old Christopher Lee Tucker failed to notify the sheriff’s office 72 hours before moving from his residence on Shorter Avenue on June 3.
Tucker is charged with failure to register as a sex offender and a couple of probation violations.
Man charged in theft from furniture store
A Rome man arrested last week in connection with the theft of items from a truck is also accused of stealing from a West Rome furniture store.
According to an arrest warrant:
53-year-old Johnny Raymond Steele appropriated more than $1,500 in merchandise belonging to Furniture of Rome on Shorter Avenue back on July 2.
Steel is charged with felony theft by taking.
Man charged with meth possession
A Rome man has been arrested on a felony warrant charging him with possession of methamphetamine.
According to the warrant:
51-year-old Ronald Jermaine Fletcher left the scene after law enforcement arrived at a location on Calhoun Avenue back on July 10.
He left behind a bag of personal belongings including his driver’s license, social security card and 17 grams of methamphetamine.
Fletcher is also charged with contempt of superior court.
