Georgia’s Rome Film and Entertainment Alliance Hosts Exclusive Rome Film Workshop on October 24

The Georgia’s Rome Film and Entertainment Alliance is thrilled to announce an upcoming Film Workshop, inviting the public to dive deep into the world of film production. This valuable event will take place on Thursday, October 24, from 9 am to 11 am at the Forum River Center.
The workshop will offer a unique opportunity to hear directly from renowned film experts about the dynamic film industry in Rome. Attendees will gain insights on how to get their properties or businesses considered for film locations and how hosting a film project can benefit them.
Featured guest panelists include:

  • Lee Thomas, Deputy Commissioner for the Georgia Film Office
  • Craig Dominey, Senior Film Location Specialist/Camera Ready Program Manager for the Georgia Film Office

“We are excited to welcome experts from the Georgia Film Office who are responsible for bringing huge productions to our state,” said Missy Kendrick, President of the Rome/Floyd County Development Authority. “Their knowledge and experience will provide invaluable guidance on how property and business owners can position themselves to benefit from this thriving industry.”
The workshop will cover several crucial topics, including:

  • How to get your home or property considered for a film location
  • What to expect if you host a film project
  • How your business can leverage film projects for growth and exposure

This workshop is presented by the Georgia’s Rome Film and Entertainment Alliance, which operates under the Georgia’s Rome Office of Tourism, the Camera Ready Liaison to the industry and is the first point of contact for productions in our community. The office promotes Rome, Cave Spring and Floyd County as a location for motion picture, television, commercial, print and music/entertainment productions. The alliance is governed by the Tourism Board of Directors,and is chaired by Missy Kendrick, President of the Rome/Floyd County Development Authority.
