The Floyd County Board of Commissioners will meet on Tuesday.
Agenda items include the transferring of property on West Point Drive, Cooper Street, Woodland Street, and Southern Street to the Rome-Floyd County Land Bank Authority.
A request from the Floyd County Police Department to approve the purchase of school security and training tools is on the consent agenda.
The $22,550 request would be funded with the use of traffic camera fines.
Also on the consent agenda is a request from the finance department to amend the 2024 Budget for the award of the 2025 HEAT grant.
The grant from the Governor’s Office of Highway Safety, which goes to combat impaired and aggressive drivers, has been awarded in the amount of $166,515, but it will require a 40% local match.
The commission meeting begins at 11 a.m. at the Floyd County Administration building located at 12 East 4th Avenue.
The caucus starts at 9.
