Report: Man violates ‘no contact’ bond by strangling victim

A 31-year-old Rome man is facing charges of aggravated assault and aggravated stalking following his arrest on Monday.

According to Floyd County Jail records:

Miguel Armani Wimby went to an apartment on Chambers Street where the victim was staying, violating a ‘no contact’ bond issued by a judge.

Wimby then put his hands around the victim’s neck, preventing her from breathing.

Man accused of assaulting woman, striking infant

A South Rome man is accused of striking a woman in the face with a pistol on Reservoir Street last week.

According to an arrest warrant and Floyd County Jail records:

26-year-old Tariq Laderrious Dean entered the residence without consent where he also struck his eight-month-old girl on the forehead, leaving a goose egg.

Dean is charged with aggravated assault, 1st-degree burglary, possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime, and 1st-degree cruelty to children.

Man accused of threatening server at restaurant

A West Rome man was arrested Monday on two counts of terroristic threats and acts following a reported incident at a restaurant on Shorter Avenue.

According to Floyd County Jail records:

61-year-old James Henry Lester told the server that he had guns on him when the employee refused to serve him, putting the victim in fear for her life.
