Purported gang members charged in beating at jail

-Floyd County Jail records-

Six inmates at the Floyd County Jail are facing charges of participating in criminal street gang activity and influencing a witness in connection with the beating of another inmate that occurred back on October 31.

According to jail records:

17-year-old Chason Larry Smith, 54-year-old Robert Alexander Langston, 20-year-old Avant Kareem Milner, and 17-year-old Jaquarius Cornelius Woodard, struck the victim in the face and head.

The four, along with 19-year-old Tykel Hutchinson and 32-year-old Devin Ray Dockery then threatened witnesses with violence if they did not recent their original statements regarding the incident.

Smith is a purported member of the “Brothers for Life” gang, while Langston, Woodard, and Hutchinson are alleged members of “The Bloods.” According to the reports, Miler is affiliated with the “East Side Bloods” and Dockery is a “Ghostface Gangster. “

Smith, Langston, Milner, and Woodard are all additionally charged with unlawful acts of violence in a penal institution, and battery causing visible harm.
