The following is a list of closings due to the potential for winter weather on Friday.
Floyd County Schools will be closed on Friday. All events scheduled for Friday and Saturday are also canceled.
Rome City Schools will be closed on Friday. All after-school activities are also postponed.
Calhoun City Schools will be closed on Friday. All events scheduled from Friday through Sunday are also canceled.
Gordon County Schools will be closed on Friday.
Cartersville and Bartow County Schools will be closed on Friday.
Trion City and Chattooga County Schools are closed on Friday.
Darlington School will be closed on Friday.
Polk School District campuses will transition to a Learn-from-Home day on Friday.
In Alabama, Cherokee County, DeKalb County, and Fort Payne Schools will be closed on Friday.
All campuses of Georgia Northwestern Technical College will be closed on Friday. All classes, activities, and events are canceled.
The Georgia Department of Public Health Northwest Health District office in Rome and health departments in Bartow, Catoosa, Chattooga, Dade, Floyd, Gordon, Haralson, Paulding, Polk, and Walker counties will be closed on Friday.
The City of Rome Government offices will be closed tomorrow, January 10, 2025. This closure also includes Solid Waste, Walker Mountain Landfill, and Rome Transit Department (RTD) services, which will not operate on Friday.
Due to the impending inclement weather, all Floyd County Government Administrative, Judicial, and Non-essential offices will be closed on Friday, January 10, 2025. Employees should contact their supervisors for more specific directions.
Atrium Health Floyd Primary Care and Urgent Care locations will be closed on Friday.

A decision will be made Friday about possibly opening Urgent Care locations on Saturday.
All Harbin Clinic locations will be closed on Friday, They are monitoring weather conditions to determine any changes to weekend operating hours for Immediate Care Rome and Cartersville. Additional updates will be posted on HarbinClinic.com and on Harbin Clinic’s Facebook page.
All Coosa Valley Credit Union locations will be closed on Friday. They plan to re-open for regular business hours on Monday. They will post any changes or updates to our website, as well as social media channels.
