Warrant: Woman broke into Lindale home, damaged several items

A Rome woman has been arrested on a felony warrant charging her with 1st-degree burglary.

According to the warrant:

27-year-old Carderica Johnae’ Nabrondia Dorsey entered a home on Conn Lake Road in Lindale back on December 13 by forcing open the back door.

Once inside, she slashed a mattress with a knife broke the bed frame, and knocked over a dresser and mirror.

Dorsey also broke a 50-inch television and damaged a 32-inch television.

Contents of the refrigerator were thrown onto the floor and the fridge and freezer were left open.

Several other items were also damaged.

The total cost of the damages was listed at more than $3,900.

Woman accused of puncturing tires

A 24-year-old Rome woman is accused of causing more than $500 in damage to a vehicle at an apartment on East 20th Street back on January 3.

According to an arrest warrant:

Daisha Daliyah Freeman punctured all four tires on the Buick Envista.

She is charged with a felony count of 2nd-degree criminal damage to property.

Two inmates accused of trying to smuggle contraband into prison

Two inmates are accused of conspiring to smuggle contraband into the Floyd County Prison back on December 30.

According to the arrest warrants:

33-year-old Willjarvis Tyrell McIntosh of Hartwell, Georgia, and 30-year-old Justin Domonique Bingley of Lafayette used the prison’s phone system to arrange the delivery of more than 243 grams of tobacco, 471 grams of marijuana, six sheers of suspected strips, and rolling papers to a designated spot to be later smuggled into the prison.

The contraband was located by a prison investigator before the plan could be carried out.

Two civilians were also in on the conspiracy.

McIntosh and Bingley are charged with conspiracy to commit a felony, possession of items prohibited for inmates, use of a communications facility to commit a crime, and felony possession of marijuana.

Purported gang member charged with conspiracy and possession of items prohibited for inmates

A 29-year-old Swainsboro, Georgia man is facing charges for allegedly conspiring with multiple civilians to smuggle 441 grams of marijuana into the Floyd County Prison in September of 2021.

According to Floyd County Jail records:

Delroy Jamario Barrett used the prison’s phone lines and emails to have people on the outside obtain, package and deliver the marijuana in a trash can at Ridgeferry Park so it could be retrieved by inmates on a work detail.

Barrett is designated by the Georgia Department of Corrections as a member of the Bloods criminal street gang.

He is charged with attempt or conspiracy to violate Georgia’s Controlled Substances Act, possession of items prohibited for inmates, use of a communications facility to commit a crime, and participation in criminal street gang activity.
