Due to hazardous conditions, the Blood Assurance locations in Cartersville and Rome locations will also remain closed on Saturday.
The winter storm has significantly impacted the blood supply—typically at least 540 donors are needed daily to meet hospital demands.
To help replenish supply levels, they are opening the Cartersville location for emergency donation hours this Sunday from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m.
Rome will be back to normal operations on Monday, and they need all the donations we can get next week.
The most urgent need is O-negative, AB plasma, and platelet donors.
O-negative and AB plasma donors will receive a $25 e-gift card
All donors will get a free long-sleeve t-shirt.
