Former drug court employee indicted

A Calhoun woman is out on bond after being indicted by a Floyd County Grand Jury on a felony count of sexual contact by an employee or agent in the first degree.

According to the indictment:

39-year-old Erin Ranee Young, while employed as a Floyd County Drug Court coordinator, had sex with a man who was under the supervision of the court as part of his probation.

The exact date of the incident is unknown, but according to court documents, it occurred sometime between July 8, 2021, and November 4, 2022.

Young was booked into the Floyd County Jail on Friday and has since been released on $10,000 bond.
