Woman accused of threatening roommate with a tire iron, hammer
A 50-year-old Rome woman was arrested at her Ross Street residence Friday on charges of aggravated assault, aggravated battery, terroristic threats and acts, and disorderly conduct.
According to Floyd County Jail records:
Tammie Tamara Williams walked into the residence and started to yell and curse at her roommate while waving a tire iron in one hand and a hammer in the other.
She then threatened to hit the victim with the hammer.
The victim sustained a cut to the palm of her hand.
Williams pulled out a tire iron from her vehicle after she had arrived at the location.
The vehicle had a license plate that did not belong to it, resulting in an additional charge of concealing the identity of a vehicle.
Woman accused of damaging Lindale residence, driving drunk with children in her vehicle
A Cedartown woman is accused of destroying a water line leading to a residence on Garden Avenue in Lindale.
According to Floyd County Jail records:
37-year-old Sasha Santana Auttonik Bunn, who was in a drunken state, also destroyed eight windows of the residence and then drove away with two children in the vehicle.
Bunn is charged with two counts of endangering a child while DUI and 3rd-degree cruelty to children, as well as single counts of 1st-degree criminal damage to property, 2nd-degree criminal damage to property, DUI, disorderly conduct, and public drunk.
Two charged with meth possession
Two Rome men were arrested on Chambers Street over the weekend on drug charges.
According to Floyd County Jail records:
55-year-old Christopher Thomas Jacks and 31-year-old Matthew Christopher Jacks
Both are charged with possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug-related objects.
Traffic stop leads to drug arrest
A Rome teen is facing drug charges following a traffic stop on Highway 411 near Walmart late last week.
According to Floyd County Jail records:
17-year-old Tyler Wayne Lester was stopped for speeding at the East Rome Bypass at Wilbanks Road.
A search of the vehicle yielded two THC vape pens and a small amount of marijuana.
He is charged with two counts of possession of a Schedule I controlled substance and single counts of speeding and possession of less than an ounce of marijuana.
Man accused of fleeing from police
An Ellijay man was booked into the Floyd County Jail over the weekend on charges of fleeing or attempting to elude, DUI, speeding, failure to maintain a lane, and reckless driving.
According to jail records:
30-year-old Levi Kenneth Skinner Taylor fled from a traffic stop on Highway 140 at Gaines Loop Road at speeds of 114 miles per hour before crashing on Old Dalton Road.
Man charged with fleeing or attempting to elude
A 22-year-old Rome man is accused of running a stop sign and then failing to stop for police in the Lindale area Saturday.
According to Floyd County Jail records:
Austin Shane Lindsey eventually stopped and was taken into custody at Old Cemetery Road.
He is charged with fleeing or attempting to elude, DUI, and a stop sign violation.
