The Red Cross was called in to help a family displaced from a house fire in Chattooga County on Saturday afternoon.
The fire was on Dry Creek Road, not far from the Floyd County line, at an older two-story residence. Fire fighters from Subligna, Gore and the Summerville Fire Department all responded to the call which came in shortly before 2 PM on Saturday.
Firefighters were able to get the fire put out and no injuries were reported.
The family was not at home at the time of the fire.
