STAFF REPORTS
Some Gordon County residents are cleaning up after a strong storm uprooted trees and damaged homes Thursday morning.
On Plainview Road between Adairsville and Sonoroville, the wind blew the roof off of one home and damaged the roof of at least one other.
There were no reports of any injuries.
The wind also blew over trees in that area.
In Floyd County, flooding was the biggest concern with more than three inches of rain being recorded over 24 hours at the Richard B. Russell Regional Airport.
Dugger Drive in the Armuchee area was closed to traffic after the roadway flooded near the intersection with Martha Berry Highway.
Several other roads also had to be closed due to them being impassible because of standing water.
