Sunday COVID-19 update

GEORGIA DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC HEALTH

The Georgia Department of Public Health is reporting that 108 Floyd County residents have now tested positive for COVID-19.

There have been five deaths, a 62-year old man, a 75-year old woman, an 80-year old man, a 65-year old female, and a 75-year old male, who all had underlying medical conditions.

Statewide, as of 7 p.m. Sunday, there were 12,452 confirmed cases with 442 deaths.

2,518 are hospitalized.

The rest have either recovered or are quarantined at home.

Bartow County has 213 cases and 16 deaths.

Gordon County has 38 cases and there have been three deaths.

Polk County has 25 cases, no deaths, and Chattooga County has seven cases and one death.

Remember, these numbers reflect the county of residence not where they are hospitalized.
