GA DPH COVID-19 Status Report for May 6

May 6, 2020–6:17 a.m.

GEORGIA DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC HEALTH

Floyd County is now at 151 confirmed COVID-19 cases, up by one from yesterday.

There have been no additional hospitalizations or deaths.

Floyd County remains at 39 and 11, respectively.

Statewide, there have been 30.032 COVID-19 cases, as of 5:30 a.m. Wednesday, up from 29,423 Tuesday morning.

The state is at 1,295 deaths, up from 1,246 deaths in Tuesday’s report.

There have also been 5,666 hospitalizations, and 1,322 ICU admissions since the pandemic began.

Over 200,000 tests have been administered across the state.

Gordon County has had 117 confirmed cases, up one from yesterday.

The 29 hospitalizations are also up by one.  No new deaths have been reported in the last 24 hours.

Bartow County has had 10 new positives since yesterday, bringing the total number of cases to 351 cases.  There has been one new hospitalization and no additional deaths.

Polk County has reported 62 total positives, up by two, along with 11 total hospitalizations and no deaths.

Chattooga County remained at 15 cases, 3 hospitalizations, and two deaths.

Those numbers unchanged since yesterday.
