COVID-19 report for May 7

GEORGIA DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC HEALTH

The Georgia Department of Public Health reports the number of new COVID-19 cases increased by 705 statewide on Wednesday.

There have now been 30,737 positives test results since the pandemic began.

1,317 have died, up by 71 from Wednesday.

Floyd County is now at 152 confirmed COVID-19 cases and 11 deaths.

Bartow County is at 359 cases and 32 deaths.

Gordon County has had 118 confirmed cases, up one from yesterday.  13 have died.

Polk County has reported 64 total positives, along with 11 total hospitalizations and no deaths.

Chattooga County remained at 15 cases, 3 hospitalizations, and two deaths.
