COVID-19 report for May 18

GEORGIA DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC HEALTH

The data represents confirmed cases of COVID-19 reported to the Georgia Department of Public Health as of Monday, May 18 at 1 p.m.

There have now been 38,283 positive test results, up from 37,642 on Sunday at 1 p.m.

364,289 tests have been administered.

There have been 6,992 hospitalizations since the beginning of the pandemic.

Total state ICU Admissions totaled at 1,581.

1,606 have died, which is 43 more than in Sunday’s report.

No new deaths have been reported in Northwest Georgia over the last several days.

Floyd County is now at 187 confirmed COVID-19 cases, up seven from Sunday at 1 p.m., and remains at 13 total deaths.

Bartow County is at 396 confirmed cases and 35 deaths.

Gordon County has had 128 confirmed cases and 15 total deaths.

Polk County has reported 80 total positives and no deaths.

Chattooga County has had 15 cases and two deaths.
