After delays due to COVID-19, today is finally Election Day in Georgia.
In addition to the Presidential Preference Primary voters are also casting ballots in the General Primary Election
Contested races on the Republican ballot include a three-man race for sheriff, a two-person race for the Georgia House of Representatives in District 13, another two-person race for Floyd County Clerk of Superior Court, and nine candidates are vying to succeed Tom Graves in Congress.
On the Democratic ballot, seven candidates are running in the primary to face incumbent US Senator David Perdue in November.
On the Non-Partisan ballot, there is a two-man race for Floyd County Chief Magistrate.
The polls will be open today from 7 a.m. until 7 p.m.
