Atlanta woman implicated in conspiracy to smuggle drugs into prison

An Atlanta woman has been arrested for her alleged role in trying to smuggle contraband into the Floyd County Prison.

According to the arrest warrants, 26-year old Keivona Santasha Watkins conspired with an inmate to drop 40.6 grams of marijuana at the Shannon Recreation Center on Minshew Road in February of this year.

The inmate was on a work detail at the recreation center at the time.

Watkins is charged with conspiracy to commit a felony, possession of items prohibited for an inmate, and use of a communications facility to commit a felony.
