RCS and Floyd Medical to offcer COVID-19 vaccines to those 12 and older

ROME CITY SCHOOLS

Rome City Schools will partner with Floyd Medical Center to offer a voluntary COVID-19 vaccination event to all Rome City Schools parents and students 12 years of age and older.

The vaccination is Tuesday, May 18 from 4:00-5:30 p.m. at the Rome City Schools College and Career Academy meeting room.

The event is also for parents and students 16 and older who received their first voluntary COVID-19 vaccination shot on April 22.

A parent or legal guardian is required to be on-site during the administration of the vaccine for those under the age of 18.

For those with questions about receiving the vaccine, please consult your physician.

Per CDC guidance, fully vaccinated individuals with no COVID-like symptoms do not need to quarantine or be tested following an exposure.

Floyd Medical Center is also offering an open voluntary COVID-19 vaccination event to anyone 12 years of age and older every Friday through the month of June at the Floyd Medical Center P1 unit.
