In Fiscal Year 2021, the Georgia Department of Transportation awarded a total of 416 projects valued at more than $1.8 billion.
In June, the last month of FY 2021, 49 construction contracts were awarded for statewide transportation projects totaling more than $153 million.
Those projects include the resurfacing of Highway 411 beginning at Chateau Drive in Rome and going to the Bartow County Line.
The $3.8 million dollar contract for the project was awarded to CW Matthews Construction of Marietta.
Meanwhile, Roadside Specialties of Blackshear,. Georgia was awarded a contract of nearly half a million dollars for various signing and marking upgrades on various county roads in Floyd County.
Other contracts awarded in June included signing and pavement upgrades at various railroads in Bartow, Gordon, and Polk Counties.
