South Broad Street between McGhee Street and Butler Street was shut down for a time Wednesday morning following a one-vehicle accident involving a dump truck.
The wreck occurred at around 9 a.m. near the intersection of Cantrell Street.
The dump truck, which was carrying metal, overturned, ending up on its side.
The truck also brought down a utility pole.
Floyd EMS evaluated the driver at the scene and he escaped serious injury.
