Floyd County Commission meets Tuesday

The Floyd County Commission is expected to adopt a resolution to re-appoint Jamie McCord as county manager when they meet Tuesday night.

The commission will also make appointments for other county leadership positions and hand out committee assignments during the meeting which begins at 6 p.m. in the county administration building on 4th Avenue.

The consent agenda includes a recommendation from Rome-Floyd Parks & Recreation for a price increase on concession Coca-Cola products and a fee increase on rental facilities and activities.

Under new business is a recommendation from public works for the 2022 Local Maintenance Improvement Grant road paving list with the Georgia Department of Transportation.

Commissioners will also consider an update all Floyd County COVID-19 policies to match current CDC guidelines.

The commission will also vote on a recommendation from human resources to create an Election Supervisor job classification and delete the Elections Chief job classification.

Commissioner will also consider expenditures for renovations as part of the elections office’s move to the health department, not to exceed $213,000.
